Geno; Your thoughts?

Practically everyone has a freaking opinion on the puppet, I Mean you would use to say that he has no chance as i kinda wanted him in before i heard about all the journal/Poll stuff, And i mean thanks to japan's Cult for him they managed to place him 2nd (Right next to dedede.) On sakurai's polls, Of course he's that kinda character that when you call his name then it starts a warfire a lot of the time.

So as the topic says; Your thoughts? (Move this to the debate hall if needed.)

My thoughts is that he has a 70-80 Chance, But that's just me.

well I really hope that he is in the game. I don't really know his Chances but I hope they are High. He would make the game better IMO.

If he's wanted as much as Megaman, and he's out of the way, that makes him the #1 wanted character for Brawl. How could Sakurai say no to that?

I agree with Ben. He is way too popular to not be a PC. I'm almost positive he'll be in it.

I think he has a chance, but I don't know much about him, so I can't really say much.

Only two weeks away and he hasn't been deconfirmed in any shape or form. Things are looking up.

Yeah, I think since we haven't heard otherwise about him, no news is good news.

If he isn't an AT, he's almost guaranteed a good role.

Some of the "prophets" have said that some non-playable characters will play large roles in the SSE. Although none of these people have been proven to be 100% yet, I do believe that this will be the case. With that said, like you said Ben, if Geno's not playable then I bet he'll play some role in the SSE instead of just being a simple AT. Besides, so far, no one that was mentioned 3 times or more in Sakurai's journal has been made into an AT so things are definately looking up for him. (Geno was mentioned 5 times)

Although that seems plausable, wouldn't nintendo still have to pay as much to have Geno playable in Brawl as they would to have him in the SSE? So it would make more sense to make him playable because either way they have to pay for him.

The only one deconfirmed with 3+ Mentions (Or almost.) Is nook, And then 4 confirmed and 2 semi-confirmed, And claus is looking good, Takamaru is a huge maybe there...:S

I have no Idea who Claus or Takamaru are...

Well, SMRPG fans got crapped on again... Not only was Geno not even an AT but SMRPG didn't even get any representation at all. No trophies, not music, no nothing. There's a rumor going around Go Nintendo right now that Geno was in the game and that Square Enix was cool with it but then Nintendo got pissed about something regarding the deal they made and then took him out. Wonderful... just wonderful... I'm going to buy Brawl regardless but I still think a lot of fans got the shaft. Isaac's AT is lame, Krystal is a mere cameo, a similar rumor is floating around about Megaman, and Ridley ended up being a boss (although an extremelly cool one). *sigh*

Unless we get downloadable content then we're screwed, honestly, no claus/ACer/Isaac/Geno/Other essentials? I really think falco now should've gotten the boot for krystal since falco really only rely's on fanbases, some of the stuff is ridiculous but it was a bit overhyped.

And Mario RPG Fans (I've played all 6 games from paper mario, M&L, and SMRPG) Got boned, FOR THE THIRD TIME!!!!!!!!11111111111!!11!111!11!11

Really only for the second time TK. It's not likely anyone other than the essentials had a chance at SSB64.

Downloadable content seems very unlikely for Brawl simply because Nintendo has such a weird stance on it. Unless Sakurai says something about it at GDC, don't expect it to happen.
