Hey Witchking, I’m in a bit of a jam. You mentioned that you live in Europe, correct? Well, I had a test run of DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3, to see how well my connection is going to be online, and after going through my first match, I’ve concluded that I won’t be capable of playing a lag free battle, especially against you. It’s slow, really slow.

My internet connection is DSL but because I live out in a ranch, it’s not up to par with a city connection. I think it has to do with how old the phone lines are around here. Encountering disconnections are very common during windy days. So I contacted Verizon, and they told me that they wouldn’t replace my line because in two and a half years, they’re going to replace everything with fiber optic cables (I think that’s what she said). That really ticked me off.

I’m going to contact Verizon Wireless to see if they can do anything about it. This type of connection is no satisfactory, especially for the amount of money I’m paying.

Online tournaments will still be hosted by me but I’m not going to compete in them anymore.

If you aren't getting constant connection errors, however, you're experiencing what thousands of other DBZ fans have been suffering through (and sending complaints about to both Nintendo and Atari), which is tons of slowdown, control lag, and an overall letdown in the online department. Whether this will be fixed is anyone's guess, but we need to review a game based on how it currently plays, and it's obvious there are issues. Budokai Tenkahichi 3's top selling point is, at least for the moment, extremely crippled." - IGN

I wish I had another Wifi Wii game to try out.

I also heard that people experienced a lot of lag with this game. (Sorry I didn't say anything about it before.) I guess you could just wait until the game comes out to test your connection, but if you wanted to do it before then, Call of Duty 4 would probably be the best choice since it gives the connection quality of all players in a party.
