Sleep Walking

Post by Pichu Sensei on Thu Jan 24, 2008 8:39 pm

Last night something very funny happened to me. It was 2:00 at night, I sort of awoke to find myself standing on my bed (I was about 1/5 awake, I thought I was dreaming). In my mind I was reaching for something on the ceiling like a smoke detector or something, but since I thought I was dreaming I didn't know that there isn't a smoke detector in my room. Little did I know that I had my ceiling fan on high and was reaching towards the blades. Long story short, my wrists hurt really bad today.
Has anyone else ever had an experience with sleep walking?

Well, I don't think I've ever sleep walked as well, but I do recall once waking up with a gamecube controller in my hand and the gamecube was on with melee in it. I don't quite remember if it was real or not since I was like half asleep.

Same as Chuff, sleeping is over-rated.

Naw but for cereal, I've never slept walked.

It doesn't necessarily have to be your own experience with sleep walking, it can be if you've seen people you know sleep walk. For example, there is this family in Utah where everybody in their family has sleep walking issues. On one campout so I've heard, one of the kids tried to kill somebody by pushing them into the fire during their nightly prowl. When I went on a campout with him he got up, ran around the camp screaming, and beat on people's tents with sticks. So from now on when we make the camp layout, his tent is seperated from the rest of the camp.

According to my mother I've sleepwalked (sleptwalked?) a few times.

I had a very awkward experience in MY sleep last night, though. Supposedly, I feel 'asleep' while I was still technically concious, and for a few minutes I was seemingly completely paralyzed because I couldn't move. Eventually my eyes 'opened' and I become truely 'awake' again with my mobility intact. o_O
